A Medical Appointment You Can Actually Look Forward To
Trauma-informed pelvic health physical therapy in a calm, supportive environment
Yes Really
We designed this practice around the thing most clinics skip: how it feels to be here.
Pelvic health physical therapy is not just clinical care—it is deeply personal care. We believe the how matters just as much as the what. From the moment you walk through our doors, our intention is to create an experience that feels safe, affirming, and empowering, especially when you are seeking care for parts of your body and life that are often intimate, vulnerable, and profoundly impacted.
We Understand How Hard This Can Be
Seeking pelvic health care can feel daunting. These services address areas of the body that are closely tied to identity, autonomy, pain, trauma, sexuality, pregnancy, postpartum recovery, and daily function. Many people arrive having already experienced:
Dismissal or minimization of their symptoms
Painful or rushed medical encounters
A sense of loss of control over their body
Trauma—medical or otherwise
We get it. You have experienced enough pain, enough uncertainty, and enough situations that were out of your control.
Here, you are accepted as you are, fully informed, and invited to actively participate in your care. You always have a voice. You always have a choice. Your comfort, consent, and sense of safety come first.
An Environment Designed for Calm and Comfort
We have intentionally created a space that feels cozy, grounding, and human—not sterile or intimidating. This environment is part of your care.
Soft, dimmable supplemental lighting (no harsh overhead exam lights), ideal for those with ocular sensitivities
Heated treatment table for warmth and relaxation
Soft blankets and a weighted lap blanket to support nervous system calming
Plenty of pillows to optimize positioning and reduce strain
Calm music to support relaxation
Essential oil diffuser for gentle sensory grounding
“Pelvic Pals”—stuffed animals you can hug or squeeze during exams or treatment for comfort and reassurance
Water wipes and tissues available after internal treatments
A soft, supportive chair designed to remain comfortable even for individuals with significant tailbone pain
Every detail of the room was chosen by someone who has been the patient on the table.
THE USUAL APPOINTMENT
A packed waiting room and a 15-minute slotRotating providers and repeating your story
A cold table, a paper gown, and fluorescent lights
Being handed a photocopied exercise sheet
Being told to “just do Kegels” or “just live with it”
The difference
What you're used to vs. what happens here
VS
AT ARTISTRY PELVIC HEALTH
One patient at a time. Your full hour is yours, and nobody is waiting on the room.
The same doctor every single visit. You never start over.
Warm lighting you can dim, soft textiles, comfortable clothing, and a heated table.
Understanding what we found, why it matters, and what we're doing about it together.
A whole-body plan built around your body, your history, and your goals.
Your first visit
Here's exactly how it goes
01
You Arrive
No waiting room, no sign-in sheet. You're let straight into your private space at your appointment time.
02
We Talk First
We go through your history, symptoms, and what you actually want back in your life.
03
A Whole Body Assessment
Breathing, posture, hips, abdomen, movement. Any internal assessment is optional, explained in advance, and always your call.
04
The Explanation
We show you what we found and how it connects to your symptoms — in language that makes sense.
05
The Plan
Not just a list of exercises, an explanation of what's driving your symptoms and a starting plan you can actually do.
A Space Where You Are Seen, An Active Partner in Your Care
This is not something being done to you.
Here, you are both deeply seen and actively involved. Your lived experience matters. Your voice matters. Your body’s responses matter.
You are:
Educated about your body and what is happening in each session
Encouraged to ask questions and express concerns
Invited to give feedback at any point
Supported in making informed decisions about your care
We believe healing happens best when you feel respected, informed, and in control. Our role is to guide, support, and collaborate with you—never to override your autonomy.
This is a space where vulnerability is met with dignity, where shame has no home, and where care is delivered with patience, consent, and compassion.
Coming here is the only time I get to actually relax
