Dr. Ciara Nwosu (formally Scott) PT DPT PCES
Dr. Ciara Nwosu is a Pelvic Floor Physical Therapist passionate about helping individuals restore confidence, comfort, and connection within their bodies. Since 2019, she has specialized in pelvic health, supporting people through challenges such as pelvic pain, bowel and bladder dysfunction, pregnancy and postpartum recovery, painful intercourse, prolapse, and core dysfunction.
Dr. Ciara has completed advanced professional training through the Herman & Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation Institute and the American Physical Therapy Association and is also certified as a Pregnancy and Postpartum Corrective Exercise Specialist. In addition to her clinical work, she serves as faculty within the Doctor of Physical Therapy program at Loma Linda University, where she contributes to the education and mentorship of future physical therapists.
Beyond the clinic and classroom, Dr. Ciara is passionate about advancing awareness and education surrounding pelvic health within both healthcare and community spaces. She has taught community workshops, participated in healthcare grand rounds presentations, guest lectured within doctoral-level healthcare programs, and collaborated with multidisciplinary providers and birth professionals to help improve understanding of pelvic health, movement, and whole-body healing.
Her approach blends clinical expertise, movement retraining, hands-on care, education, and whole-body healing principles to help patients not only reduce symptoms, but truly understand and support their bodies long-term.
What most shapes Dr. Ciara’s care, however, is her own personal journey with pelvic health challenges. Those experiences deeply transformed the way she practices — leading her to create a space where patients feel heard, safe, educated, and never dismissed. She believes pelvic dysfunction is often treated as something people must simply “live with,” when in reality, many individuals can experience significant healing and improvement with the right support.
Her mission is simple: no one should have to navigate pelvic health struggles alone. Through compassionate, trauma-informed care, Dr. Ciara strives to be both a skilled guide and a reassuring presence for every person she serves.
